The Pittsburgh Pirates are reportedly interested in free agent catcher Gary Sanchez. Per Jon Heyman of the New York Post: The Pirates are among teams considering ex-Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez, who had a terrific year in San Diego and became Snell’s personal catcher.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed catcher Ali Sanchez and claimed right-handed pitcher Roddery Muñoz, the team announced Friday evening. In conjunction with the two additions, the Pirates also announced that reliever Thomas Hatch had been released for the purpose of signing with a team in Japan.
