WWE Sold A Lot More Tickets For Monday’s Raw In Chicago After Advertising CM Punk

Monday’s WWE Raw had been a hot ticket before it was announced CM Punk would be at the show, but it got even hotter once he was confirmed to appear.

Punk is being used in various roles while on the sidelines, continuing his recovery from a torn triceps. He suffered the injury in just his third WWE match and first TV bout since returning to the company.

He has cut promos on Raw and in a dark segment and worked the WrestleMania press conference in Las Vegas. Punk suffered an injury in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, where he came up short to Cody Rhodes.

On March 11th, WWE announced he would be appearing and that more seats would be available at the Raw event at Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, March 25. WWE has already confirmed Ricochet vs. JD McDonagh, Andrade in action, and Ivy Nile vs. Candice LeRae for the show.

Ticket sales

On March 5th, WWE sold out the show with 11,859, where they had plans to use the normal stage setup. The last event they held at the venue was for Survivor Series, where they sold 17,102 tickets. They changed up the production plans to use a smaller entranceway, allowing more seats to be opened up.

According to WrestleTix, WWE has already sold 2,632 tickets since announcing Punk and releasing additional tickets. 531 tickets remain. WWE has sold a little over 1,700 tickets in the last week alone. While WWE may have sold this amount of tickets without Punk, he certainly helped in some way.
