Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been part of TNA for so long, but now that they left, is AEW or WWE going to sign the popular duo?

At the recent TNA tapings of Impact Wresting, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin finished their contracts. TNA opted to not re-sign them as they shift focus on having talent under shorter deals instead of long ones. PWInsider confirmed how The Motor City Machine Guns were given an emotional sendoff after the Philly tapings. Their final bout airs in April and will be against TNA Tag Team Championships Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers.

In the report, in continued how AEW and Japan seem like their best options. WWE was not discussed. Shelly did make a quick appearance in NXT a few years back, while Sabin has never been. They have history teaming in Japan, hence why that is one proposed idea. AEW was mentioned because The Motor City Machine Guns have wrestled The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson). Matt and Nick could use their power to sway Tony Khan in signing them.

TNA Is Certainly Changing

Look for more big changes to follow in TNA. They were nearly out of business before Scott D’Amore took over. He got them back in the right direction and changed the name to TNA once again. Before he continued his plan, D’Amore was fired. Wrestlers did not like the decision. D’Amore tried everything, even offering to buy the company.

Now, The Motor City Machine Guns could join AEW. The biggest drawback will be the oversized roster. As seen, many top names, like The Hardys, are barely featured across Dynamite, Rampage and Collision. It would be a larger check than Japan, but they would be better presented overseas. Maybe, they can work for AEW and Japan as we have seen some do before. So, since Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin left TNA, will they sign with WWE, AEW or Japan?
