On the same day that Chelsea are rushing around trying to add to the 17 incoming transfers they’ve made since the summer, we saw academy starlet Jude Soonsup-Bell leave the club and join Tottenham.
On Sky Sports, Tony Pulis was in place to criticise the club’s lack of direction on that front, saying “it makes no sense.”
He pointed to the fact that Chelsea have produced the best young players in the country over the last 10 years, getting them all the way through the ranks and then letting them go, while they then buy in similarly aged players from around the world at vast cost.
You can see his point in the clip embedded here. What do you make of it?
"It makes no sense having an academy system where the kids aren't getting a chance to play at that level!"
