Chelsea starlet Romeo Lavia has spelled out his frustration at being absent this season.

The former Southampton midfielder came in with a big price tag and reputation this summer.

However, he has failed to impress the club, having only played 32 minutes all season due to various injuries.

As you may know, despite my countless efforts, I will be missing the remainder of the season" he wrote on social media after being declared out until pre-season with a thigh problem.

This has been a frustrating season for me, not being able to help my teammates.

I love this squad, this badge and being on the pitch more than anything. Trust that I have given my all everyday to be back.
