Matheus Nunes recognises he's taken a gamble leaving Wolves for Manchester City.

However, the midfielder feels he can offer something different to what manager Peo Guardiola has at his disposal.

"Every player is different," he said. "Most of them have a lot of different qualities if not all of them. I'm energised as a player. I like to have the ball a lot, recover the ball a lot. Also to be in the box a lot.

"If the manager wants me to be higher I don't mind, if he wants me to be lower on the pitch I don't mind. It's not only the ball carrying, everyone like Kova [Mateo Kovacic] is amazing at ball carrying, Kevin [De Bruyne] is amazing at that, Phil [Foden] is amazing at that. Everybody has similarities but everyone is very different."

On Guardiola comparing him with Kevin de Bruyne, Nunes also said: "He was just comparing one characteristic but the rest you cannot compare.

"That's where he stands out from the others. He doesn't need to speak about it, everybody knows it. He's proven it for years in a row. I want to try and reach as high as I can. I don't want to compare myself to Kevin or Kova or anyone.

"I just want to get the best out of me and be the best I can be. If that's better than others or not, it's for other people's opinions. It doesn't come to me to say about it. I just want to be my best."
