Wolverhampton Wanderers record-signing Matheus Nunes scored his first goal for the club on Saturday with a stunning strike against Chelsea.

The Brazil-born Portugal midfielder joined Wolves in a £42.2 million move from Sporting Lisbon in August.

Nunes was unable to score in his first 32 appearances for Wolves but he broke his duck in style to put his team 1-0 up in Frank Lampard's first game as interim Chelsea manager.

His goal arrived 31 minutes into the contest and saw him unleash a rocket of a shot past keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from a narrow angle after a headed clearance from Kalidou Koulibaly had fallen into his path.
