Roma left-back Leonardo Spinazzola has garnered interest from the Premier League, as Manchester United have asked the Giallorossi about his availability. The 30-year-old Azzurri wingback was backed by José Mourinho to stay put at the Olimpico last month despite a mega-money interest from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Shabab.
Latest information from transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio indicate that the Red Devils have accelerated their efforts to strengthen their left wing, following injuries to both their left-backs Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw. Erik Ten Hag has made it clear to the United management.

Instead, as has been Tiago Pinto’s motto, Roma would rather look to sell outright than hold onto the EURO 2020 winner. Mourinho also relies on Nicola Zalewski more so than Spinazzola.
In the best of interests of both parties, it would be good for Spinazzola to explore other avenues to gain playing minutes. Although Spinazzola’s game time has drastically decreased since his Achilles tendon rupture two years ago, he is still a top performer, and a move to United could very well increase his value.
