Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana says he never had regrets over his injury-time clash with Sasa Kalajdzic on Monday night.

His clattering with the Wolves striker risked a penalty and equaliser, but VAR chose not to act.

"No, I don't worry," he later told MUTV.

"I thought because at the end of the day, I [have] made my decision and you earn the right to make the right choice.

"Sometimes yes, sometimes not. At the end of the day, you learn from mistakes. I trust the referees. What they are doing is not easy, especially now with the VAR.

"So I was calm. I knew it wasn't [a penalty]. It was just a contact in there. So I'm calm and, for me, I'm very happy with this victory.''

On the 1-0 win, Onana insists it was deserved.

"The team showed character in the end.

"We showed we are a good club, we have good players and we are used to performing on this platform.

"So we will show a lot of character because it is not easy. Like I said, we play games we faced a very good opponent and, here, I'm happy.

"I'm happy with the victory and I'm happy for the clean sheet.

"But at the end of the day, the most important thing is the victory."
