Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has explained hooking Matheus Nunes at halftime of defeat at his former club Wolves.

Nunes was booked throughout the first-half of the 2-1 loss before being replaced by youngster Oscar Bobb at halftime.

Guardiola later explained: "I needed more dynamic, I want a little bit more in smaller spaces like Oscar is really good to find in the smaller spaces with the creativity he has to find someone.

"That was the reason why, not because he was playing not good, but I thought Oscar could give us something different."

Guardiola was banned from the touchline on the day and took in the game from the stands.
