Italy coach Roberto Mancini is considering an alternative system that would see Ciro Immobile left out for Moise Kean.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian striker is still struggling to show his best with the Azzurri, having failed to impress in the 1-1 draw against Bulgaria earlier this week.

Immobile will have another chance tonight in the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Switzerland, but Mancini is already studying an alternative system that doesn’t include the former Torino man.

The Italy coach is creating a plan B that would see returning Juventus forward Moise Kean in the squad, with his tactical versatility and ability to play wide proving important.

Lazio Will Include Kamenovic in Serie A Squad Registration List in January

This would allow Mancini to move Lorenzo Insigne into the centre of the front three in a false nine role.

Mancini is considering it, so the Lazio star will have to impress soon in order to secure his spot in the Azzurri squad.
