Inter Milan aren’t planning to sell their star striker Marcus Thuram this summer amidst growing transfer rumors.

The Nerazzurri signed the Frenchman on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer.

Originally, the Italian giants considered the 26-year-old as a backup for Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

However, the Belgian’s transfer from Chelsea famously collapsed. But luckily for Inter, Thuram rose to the plate.

The France international immediately proved his worth by striking a great understanding with Martinez.

But in recent weeks, some sources claimed that the Nerazzurri could consider selling Thuram to raise transfer funds.

Nevertheless, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla denies this story in his column for Sportitalia.

He insists that the Serie A runaway leaders have no plan to part ways with the French striker, at least not at the moment.

Alfredo Pedulla Insists Inter Milan No Planning To Sell Marcus Thuram

Pedulla reckons that selling Thuram would allow the club to register enormous capital gains. After all, we’re talking about a player who arrived for free less than a year ago.

This would be a similar maneuver to Andre Onana’s sale less summer. The Cameroonian had also joined Inter as a free agent from Ajax, but completed a switch to Man Utd a year later in a deal worth more than 50 million euros.

However, Inter don’t intend to replicate this scenario with Thuram, at least according to Pedulla.

The journalist insists that Mehdi Taremi will arrive from Porto to support the club’s current attacking duo. In other words, Inter don’t consider the Iranian a replacement for Thuram.

That being said, Pedulla acknowledges that many things can change between now and the summer, so it remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri’s resolve will be tasted with a lucrative offer.

In recent weeks, Paris Saint-Germain emerged as a suitor for the striker. The Ligue 1 giants reportedly consider Thuram a possible replacement for the departing Kylian Mbappé.
