Inter Miami sign homegrown M David Ruiz, 19

Inter Miami CF announced the signing Friday of homegrown midfielder David Ruiz.

The Miami native received a contract through the 2025 season that includes options for 2026 and 2027.

Ruiz, 19, becomes the sixth Inter Miami CF Academy product to sign with the MLS club.

"I feel really happy, really proud to have this opportunity. ... I was born here and I feel proud to sign for the First Team in my home city," Ruiz said. "Training next to the First Team motivated me a lot, and it's something I set as a goal for myself, that that's where I wanted to be."

Ruiz has made two appearances off the bench this season on short-term loans with Inter Miami, playing a total of 17 minutes.
