His 29 goals in the 2021/22 Championship season were good enough for The Cherries to finish second, securing automatic promotion.

Solanke’s form has not dipped in the English top flight. 14 goals in 24 matches has kept Bournemouth out of the relegation battle and caught the eye of many Premier League clubs including West Ham. The Hammers, who rely on strong defensive performances to secure crucial points, have had goal-scoring problems so far this year.

West Ham Seeking Immediate Solution

McGrath, in his article for The Telegraph, stated that “West Ham have put Dominic Solanke high on their list of summer targets to bolster their attack.” Their recent string of losses has caused the club to begin pursuing immediate action if a solution cannot be found. Notably, manager David Moyes has found himself facing a possible departure from the London club.

The article further noted that “West Ham have been watching closely” as Solanke performs at one of the highest levels this campaign. A former U20 World Cup winner with England in 2017, and a player who is described as someone with “an eye for goal,” his arrival at London Stadium would be a huge boost for the Hammers.
