Boca Juniors have signed released Valencia striker Edinson Cavani.

Boca announced Cavani's signing earlier today.

The veteran centre-forward secured a release from his Valencia contract ahead of signing with Boca as a free agent.

Cavani lands in Argentina for the first time in his career, returning to South America after 16 years, when he left Danubio for Italy and Palermo.
