Brentford boss Frank confirms Mbeumo out of AFCON

Brentford wing- back Bryan Mbeumo will be out for 12 weeks after undergoing ankle surgery

It means the Cameroon international is out of the Africa Cup of Nations.

"Bryan is a positive guy, he will come back stronger," said Bees boss Thomas Frank. "He has a very good mindset."

Mbeumo suffered the injury in their 2-1 defeat at Brighton on 6 December.

The wing-back is Brentford's top goalscorer this season with seven goals.
