Texans get devastating news on C.J. Stroud's status
Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans got crushing news before their matchup with the Tennessee Titans. The Texans go into Week 15 on the bubble, holding on to the AFC’s eighth seed with a 7-6 record.

A win against the 5-8 Titans would greatly help get the Texans into the playoffs in DeMeco Ryan’s first season as the head coach. However, the task of beating a Titans team fresh off their upset over the Miami Dolphins on "Monday Night Football" just became a lot harder.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Stroud will not play against the Titans as the rookie quarterback is still in the concussion protocol.

Stroud left the Texans’ Week 14 loss to the New York Jets after suffering a head injury.
