Report: Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen to file for divorce

After months of speculation, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, are officially filing divorce paperwork on Friday according to a report from TMZ. 

The report says the couple has reached a settlement on their property as well as the custody of their two children. All agreements in the settlement are reportedly brief and will remain confidential.

Rumors of their split have swirled since early September when Brady made the decision to return for another NFL season. That decision and Brady's obsession with continuing his NFL career have been rumored to be the cause of their issues. 

Brady took time off during training camp to be away from the team to spend time with his family, while he has also taken regular days off during the practice week. 

It has clearly been a stressful year for Brady on and off the field given everything that is going on, and it is fair to wonder what impact all of it is having on his performance. After Thursday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the Buccaneers are just 3-5 and have lost four of their past five games, including each of the past three games.
