Report: Bengals Fall Short in Push For Free Agent Defensive Tackle
Mandatory Credit: Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

The Bengals almost landed an interior defensive lineman but missed out on former Saints tackle Malcolm Roach. The Broncos signed him with a two-year deal worth $8 million.

"In reaching an agreement to sign DT Malcolm Roach to a two-year, $8 million contract, the Broncos beat out the Rams, Cardinals, Bills, and Bengals, who also had expressed a lot of interest," The Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson tweeted. "Roach is considered an athletic nose tackle and an ascending player."

Cincinnati doesn't have any major interior reinforcements to go with B.J. Hill in 2024 as of this writing.
