The Los Angeles Rams know they'll have quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receiver Cooper Kupp and defensive end Aaron Donald back for the 2023 season . Outside of that trio, head coach Sean McVay and company may have an historic number of roster spots to fill.
The Rams have a total of just 45 players under contract right now, *by far* the fewest in the NFL.

They do have 11 picks in the draft, but their undrafted free agent class could be historic in size this year to fill out a 90-man roster.

One of Kupp's teammates from last season in the wide receivers room who won't join him this fall is Allen Robinson. It was reported on Tuesday that the Rams are working on finalizing a deal to trade the former Pro Bowler to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Allen Robinson is still only 29 years old. Another weapon for Kenny Pickett. https://t.co/eJpSdRZkp1

Robinson was in the Rams building today and obviously left when he was informed, per source. https://t.co/W1WRqcCkXw

Despite playing in just nine games last season due to injury, Kupp led Los Angeles in receptions (75), receiving yards (812) and receiving touchdowns (six). Robinson's lone season with the Rams was a rough one, as he was limited to 10 games and finished with the lowest targets (52), receptions (33) and receiving yards (339) of his career, outside of his one-game 2017 campaign.
According to the Los Angeles depth chart , the only other wideouts on the roster behind Kupp with any catches in their NFL careers are Van Jefferson (93 receptions), Ben Skowronek (50), Tutu Atwell (18) and Austin Trammell (two).
The 2023 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 27.
