Raiders roasted after losing to Colts in Jeff Saturday's coaching debut

The Las Vegas Raiders didn't blow a 17-point lead on Sunday. They did something much worse.

The Indianapolis Colts nearly broke the NFL earlier this week when they announced former center Jeff Saturday had taken the high school-to-NFL pipeline to become an NFL head coach. It was an unprecedented move that many expected to lead to embarrassment.

Indianapolis was part of an embarrassment, that's for sure. Unfortunately for Las Vegas, it's the Raiders being mocked.

Coach Josh McDaniels continues to do less with more as the Raiders are already out of the playoff chase in spirit if not mathematically. The Raiders' most recent disaster had fans roasting the team on Twitter.

Las Vegas (2-7) is the biggest disappointment in football and Sunday's loss to Saturday is the worst of them all. Losing to a team that struggled bad enough in its last game to fire its coach is already tough to swallow. Having that loss come against an interim coach who hadn't coached above the high school ranks before this week is a Shakespearean tragedy.

Saturday's hiring was blasted Sunday by former NFL head coach Bill Cower. He called the Colts' decision "a disgrace to the coaching profession," per CBS Sports

A bigger disgrace is what's happening on the Raiders' sideline.
