Micah Parsons details conversations with Saquon Barkley ahead of matchup

The rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants is as strong as ever, especially considering both teams are coming off playoff berths last season and looking to build on that in 2023.

But even with the strong lack of love both teams surely have for each other, it doesn't mean that there aren't friendships mixed between some players on the two sides.

One example of that, it seems, is Cowboys star pass-rusher Micah Parsons and Giants stud running back Saquon Barkley.

As Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News revealed, Parsons had some love for Barkley ahead of the Week 1 matchup between the Giants and Cowboys and cited his "big brother" as a big reason why he chose to play his college football at Penn State, while stating the two have spoken a "good amount" in the build-up to the game.

"He's excited. He's talking about his new run style, how he's going back to the Penn State Saquon. ... He's like a big brother to me. He was a big reason why I committed to Penn State," Parsons said, per Gehlken.

Obviously, for Cowboys fans, hearing that Barkley is going back to "Penn State Saquon" isn't exactly music to the ears. With that said, Parsons and, specifically, Dak Prescott have had the Giants' number.

Prescott has a 10-2 career record against the Giants, but there's little doubt that the Cowboys will have their hands full not only in Week 1 but in both regular season matchups with them this season.
