Giants IDL Dexter Lawrence Earns PFWA Honors
Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

New York Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence has been racking up awards this off-season.

Lawrence, who has already been named to his second straight Pro Bowl, plus All-Pro by the AP (second team), Pro Football Focus's All-Pro Team, and the NFLPA (first team), was voted to the All-NFC Team by the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA), the only Giant to be included in this latest post-season honor.

Lawrence joined Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald on the PFWA all-NFC Team but missed the cut to Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones for inclusion with Donald on the All-NFL Team.

Lawrence just completed the first year of a four-year extension, paying him $90 million. He finished third on the Giants in sacks (4.5) and first in quarterback hits (21).

The normally durable Lawrence, who up until this season had never missed a game due to injury, missed his first career outing against the New England Patriots in Week 12 due to a hamstring strain that forced him to go on a pitch count for the remainder of the season.
