The Detroit Lions are reportedly adding wide receiver Jason Moore to the roster, after moving on from Denzel Mims.
Detroit was hoping the former New York Jets wideout could provide an additional option for veteran quarterback Jared Goff.
Unfortunately, a training camp injury forced the team to seek a new option, as injuries have started to pile up through the first three weeks of training camp.
With injuries to the wide receiver position piling up, the team indicated a move to sign a new wideout was in the works.
“We potentially may need to add somebody after today,“ Campbell told reporters earlier this week. “We’re looking into that. Brad Holmes and I have talked about that. We’ll feel a lot better after today’s practice. Because, yes you do, but to do that you have to move on from somebody. And that’s a hard move to. With other areas, other spots. But we’re thinking about it.”

Moore started his career with the Los Angeles Chargers, after going undrafted back in 2019.
Moore will be competing with Alexander, Chase Cota and Dylan Drummond for a spot on the 53-man active roster.
He has spent the majority of his career on the practice squad. The 28-year-old has six career receptions for 104 yards.
