DeAngelo Hall doesn't think Dwayne Haskins has temperament to win starting job in Washington

Former Washington Redskins star DeAngelo Hall was on “NFL Total Access” Wednesday and shared a pessimistic outlook on Dwayne Haskins.

Speaking about the situation in Washington, Hall said he doesn’t think that Haskins will respond well to having Kyle Allen breathing down his neck. He also said, “I don’t know how he wins the starting job.”

Here’s video of the entire five-plus-minute segment:

Washington has already made it crystal clear that Haskins is in no way anointed as the starting quarterback.

Furthermore, as noted by David Carr in the same segment, Haskins wasn’t drafted by Ron Rivera. And since he arrived on the scene, the team has traded for Allen, who played for Rivera in Carolina.

There have been plenty of rumors that the team could use the No. 2 overall pick to draft a quarterback this year — just one year after using the No. 15 overall pick on Haskins.

It sure sounds like Haskins is going to have to do a ton of work to wind up with the starting job in 2020. And given the fact that the NFL offseason is on hold indefinitely amid the COVID-19 pandemic, those odds appear to be even longer still.
