Lindsay, 27, saw limited action last season, splitting time between the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins. In 14 games, he finished with 249 rushing yards and a touchdown, averaging 2.8 yards per attempt on the ground. Lindsay also caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.
Undrafted out of Colorado, Lindsay signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He was voted to the Pro Bowl in his rookie year and rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons. After posting 2,048 yards and 16 touchdowns over his rookie and sophomore campaigns, Lindsay struggled in 2020, finishing with 502 rushing yards and just one touchdown in 11 games. He was placed on waivers toward the end of the 2020 season.
Lindsay signed a one-year deal with the Texans in March, playing 10 games before being waived in November. Miami claimed Lindsay, where he finished the season, playing four games.
The four-year veteran joins a Colts' backfield that includes Nyheim Hines and Jonathan Taylor.
