AZ Cardinals plan to release C Rodney Hudson and WR Chosen Anderson

The Arizona Cardinals are releasing WR Chosen Anderson to clear up $12 million in cap space this offseason, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Additionally, the Cardinals plan to release C Rodney Hudson as he nears his retirement at age 33.

Hudson played his last two seasons in Arizona; however, his playing time saw a dramatic decline in 2022 due to a string of injuries. The three-time Pro Bowler played in just four games last year.

Meanwhile, Chosen Anderson, previously known as Robbie Anderson, was acquired ahead of the trade deadline for the Cardinals after Marquise Brown suffered a multi-week injury.

With the Cardinals, Anderson was extremely disappointed by only having one game with over 20 receiving yards. He ended the year averaging only 7.6 yards per game with Arizona and did not score a single touchdown.

These moves come as no surprise as the Cardinals look to develop some young talent to build around in the upcoming years.
