WWE star feels Draymond Green would be right at home in wrestling

Pro wrestling is where showmen thrive, which would explain why charismatic individuals such as Dennis Rodman, Rob Gronkowski and Shaquille O'Neal made a seamless transition to that theatrical world. Could Draymond Green be the next athlete to cross over to a WWE ring?

WWE star Bayley is convinced that Green — currently on thin ice with the NBA for his recurring unsportsmanlike acts — would be welcomed with open arms in the WWE if his basketball career were to end abruptly.

In a recent chat with the "Gabby AF" podcast, Bayley explained why Green would fit hand and glove with her and the rest of the WWE locker room, suggesting that, unlike in the NBA, Green wouldn’t have to worry about fines or suspensions for crossing the line.

“His ruthlessness,” Bayley said, via Fightful.com. “We like to break rules, but we get away with it. We have to teach him how to break rules and get away with it or choke someone out and get away with it. I think there is always a place for someone like him, and an athlete like him, with such a big personality in the WWE. If he could get him in Damage CTRL, then the world needs to watch out because we’re going to put a title on that bad boy too.”

Green might have a headstart already…

Over the past decade or so, Green has — voluntarily or otherwise — exhibited several maneuvers on a basketball court that could translate into a pro wrestling ring. 

There was the modified rear-naked choke on Rudy Gobert, the jumping kick to Steven Adams’ groin, the leaping stomp to Domantas Sabonis’ private parts and even the bear hug takedown on Bradley Beal.

Furthermore, Green’s microphone skills — a key ingredient to a successful wrestler — have been on display at his pressers and his podcast, where he would often trash-talk opponents and spell out hyperboles. Case in point — the time when Green declared himself the greatest defender in basketball history.

Surely, Green and the WWE seem like a match made in heaven.
