New York Knicks Reportedly Sign 3-Year NBA Player
USA TODAY Sports

Nathan Knight is coming off a year where he played in 38 regular season games for the Minnesota Timberwolves and averaged 3.7 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 56.8% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range (he also appeared in two NBA playoff games).

On Wednesday, Anil Gogna of No Trade Clause reports that the 25-year-old will sign with the New York Knicks

Via Gogna: "Just in: According to sources, the New York Knicks will be signing Nathan Knight to a Two-Way contract.

The 25-year-old spent the last 2 seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves."

In addition to the Timberwolves, Knight spent his rookie season playing for the Atlanta Hawks and was part of the team that made the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals.

His career averages are 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.6% from the field in 108 regular season games (he has also appeared in eight NBA playoff games).

Since it's only for a two-way contract, this is a good signing for the Knicks that has no risk.

Knight has experience playing for two playoff teams and, at his age, is likely still improving.

Stefan Bondy, who covers the Knicks for the New York Daily News, also confirmed the report from Gogna

Via Bondy: "A source confirms that PF/C Nathan Knight is signing a two-way contract with the Knicks."

As for the Knicks, they have made the playoffs in two out of the previous three seasons and are coming off a year where they lost in the second round to the Miami Heat (in six games).
