New York Knicks Release A Player

Last month, the New York Knicks signed Dmytro Skapintsev to an Exhibit 10 contract.

The 25-year-old center is coming off a year where he played in the G League, and averaged 8.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 60.8% from the field in 28 regular season games (he also appeared in 15 Showcase Cup games).

On Friday, the Knicks announced that they have now waived Skapintsev.

Skapintsev also played for the Knicks in the NBA Summer League, and averaged 7.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.8 blocks per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field in five games.
