New York Knicks Make Roster Move After Timberwolves Game
USA TODAY Sports

On Monday afternoon, the New York Knicks hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

The Knicks won the game by a score of 112-106, and All-Star forward Julius Randle led the way with 39 points and nine rebounds while shooting 14/24 from the field in 36 minutes of playing time.

After the game, the Knicks announced that they had made a roster move.

Via Knicks PR: "Knicks waive Dmytro Skapintsev"

Skapintsev signed a two-way deal with the Knicks in December and appeared in two games for the team.

He has also spent a lot of time in the G League and has averages of 5.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 51.5% from the field in 13 games.

It's possible that he will remain with the Westchester Knicks (G League), and that the Knicks will sign a new player to a two-way deal at some point soon.

As for the Knicks, they are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with an 18-15 record in their first 33 games.

They are 5-5 over their last ten games, and following the Timberwolves, they will host DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday evening at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

At home, the Knicks are an impressive 9-4 in 13 games.

The franchise has made the NBA playoffs in two of the previous three seasons and is coming off a year where they lost to the Miami Heat in the second round.
