Mass confusion surrounds Bucks guard's wrist injury

Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley revealed on " The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone" on Wednesday that he had torn a ligament in his right wrist.

The 35-year-old told listeners that he had a "talk [with] the doctor," who said to him that he would need surgery, "which takes three to four months."

On Thursday, the Bucks listed Beverley as probable on their injury report.

The defensive stalwart added that when the injury happened on Sunday ahead of the contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder, it "hurt a little bit" but he was "cool."

Beverley said on the podcast that the injury happened while attempting a dunk at the end of his pregame routine.

The journeyman finished the win with just one point on 0-for-2 shooting in 15 minutes off the bench but added four assists, four rebounds and two blocks.

"I still played in the OKC game. Plus-12 off the bench. I shot one three, I felt a little pain, but ain’t nothing that I’d be like, ‘Ah, I need to stop,'" Beverley said.

He didn't play in Tuesday's double-overtime loss against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Beverley's averaged 5.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 19.6 minutes per game across 19 contests (two starts) with Milwaukee since being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers on Feb. 8.

The Bucks have gone 13-6 when he plays, improving to 46-26 and holding the second seed in the Eastern Conference standings with 10 games remaining.
