The Lakers have waived guard Shaquille Harrison, the team announced in a press release.
Harrison, 29, signed with the Lakers right before the playoffs after a 10-day deal with the Trail Blazers expired. He appeared in eight postseason games with LA, after playing five for the Blazers during the regular season.
Since entering the NBA in 2017, Harrison has also spent time with the Suns, Bulls, Jazz, Nuggets and Nets, as well as plenty of time in the G League.
His salary of $2.4 was not guaranteed for next season. By waiving him, the Lakers are freeing up cap space to make some other smaller moves. We have much more on our Lakers page.
