Hawks SG Bogdan Bogdanovic a game-time decision vs. Cavaliers, but 'should be ok'

Atlanta Hawks shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic appears to be joining Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen as genuinely questionable for the teams' Friday night Play-In Tournament matchup. The winner advances to the NBA playoffs as the No. 8 seed to take on the top-seeded Miami Heat in the first round.

Bogdanovic missed the Hawks Play-In Tournament victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday with his ankle injury. Bogdanovic played in 63 games (making 27 starts) and averaged 15.1 points, 3.1 assists, 1.1 steals and a career-high 4.0 rebounds this season, while posting a .431/.368/.843 shooting line.

The former Second-Team All-Rookie spent his first three NBA seasons from 2017 to 2020 with the Sacramento Kings, before signing with Atlanta in November 2020. Last year, Bogdanovic averaged a career-best 16.4 points per contest and registered a career-best .473/.438/.909 shooting line, but was limited to 44 games (27 starts).

The 29-year-old Serbian started all 18 playoff contests for the Hawks last spring in their run to the Eastern Conference Finals, averaging 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 33.2 minutes per game.
