Travis Smith Jr. made his way to Tuscaloosa Saturday and walked away with an offer from the Crimson Tide.

Smith is a 2025 wide receiver, who attends Westlake High School in Georgia. He currently garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites and holds more than 35 college football offers.

The four-star said it feels good to hold an offer from the Tide after sitting down with their new wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard during his visit.

“Coach Shephard and I sat for an hour after Junior Day and really got a chance to pick each other’s brain,” Smith said. “He is very intelligent in terms of bringing the best out of his receivers and preparing them for the next level.”

Smith also got an opportunity to tour Alabama’s facilities while he was in Tuscaloosa.

“They have the best facilities in the country by far, state-of-the-art sports science and equipment,” said Smith. “That was the most impressive part of the visit.”

Smith plans to return to Tuscaloosa for a visit during spring practice. Alabama is currently among his top choices after the visit.

“They are one of my top schools, so we will see,” Smith said. “They have came up to my school a few times, so we will see in the coming months when I make a decision”

The Georgia product is a bigger wide receiver at 6-foot-4 and approximately 200 pounds. His size and athleticism allow him to strive in jump-ball situations and when he is called upon to catch in traffic.

Smith finished his junior season with 43 receptions for 843 yards and 11 touchdowns.
