Chicago White Sox left-hander Dallas Keuchel is a 2021 Gold Glove finalist among American League pitchers, Rawlings announced Thursday.

Defense has always been a strength of Keuchel’s, a necessary attribute given his pitch-to-contact style on the mound. The southpaw is no stranger to the award, as he has taken home four Gold Gloves in his career. Those instances came in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018, all during his time with the Houston Astros.

Across 162 innings for the White Sox in 2021, Keuchel recorded seven putouts, 41 assists, three double plays started, 12 defensive runs saved, and a .980 fielding percentage all while committing just one error.

The other Gold Glove finalists among American League pitchers are Jose Berrios (Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays) and Zack Greinke (Houston Astros). MLB and Rawlings will announce Gold Glove winners on Sunday, November 7. ESPN will broadcast the award show beginning at 7:30 PM CT.
