Watch: Pirates rookie Jack Suwinski walks off Giants with third homer of the day

Pittsburgh Pirates rookie left fielder Jack Suwinski didn't get much help from his teammates Sunday, but he didn't need it. His three solo home runs — including a ninth inning walk-off — were enough to lead the way for a 4-3 win against the San Francisco Giants.

Suwinski, 23, ended the game on the third pitch of the bottom of the ninth when he hit a towering shot into right field.

Earlier in the game, Suwinski tied the game 2-2 in the fourth inning with a no-doubter into the seats in right field. Two innings later, Suwinski hit an even deeper home run to right that gave Pittsburgh a 3-2 lead.

Suwinski made his MLB debut in April after he was called up from Double-A Altoona when outfielder Bryan Reynolds landed on the team's COVID list. In 47 games this season, Suwinski is batting .230 and is now tied with Reynolds for the team lead in home runs with 11.

The Pirates lost 11 out of their last 12 before the Sunday win against the Giants.
