The Cleveland Guardians have seen a lot of roster turnover since the trade deadline. Some of this has to do with trades being made and injuries to the roster. Jose Tena was the latest prospect to get the call to the show and show what he's made of.

He actually made his debut last Saturday and was the pinch runner for Jose Ramirez after he was ejected for punching Tim Anderson. Tena finally got his first Big League start on Thursday afternoon which includes his first Major League hit.

Tena came to the plate in the bottom of the second inning as the nine-hole hitter. Roman Laureano was in third with Bo Naylor at first base. It's been rare for the Guardians to have runners in scoring position in the series so taking advantage of this opportunity was crucial.

Tena locked in on a pitch he liked from Alek Manoah and ripped the ball right back up the middle to the center fielder. This allowed Ramon to score and tie up the game.

The next batter up was Brayan Rocchio who hit an RBI double scoring Naylor and giving the Guardians the lead.

Cleveland is in a position where they are evaluating their youth for the future. If Tena can prove he is able to produce then he's going to continue to see his playing time climb.
