The Toronto Blue Jays saw a pair of their division-rivals in the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees make big trades on Monday. Now as Tuesday's trade deadline is less than eight hours away, the Blue Jays may be looking to join the mix.

Toronto is interested in Happ plus a bullpen arm.
The Mets, linked to Contreras for weeks, also are looking for a reliever.@MLBNetwork @MLB
The Yankees -- who are seemingly running away with the AL East title with a current 12-game lead at 70-34 -- acquired one of the most-coveted starting pitchers on the market Monday in former Oakland Athletics ace Frankie Montas. The Red Sox meanwhile, shipped off starting catcher Christian Vazquez to the Astros and landed outfielder Tommy Pham from the Cincinnati Reds in separate deals.
Catcher Willson Contreras and outfielder Ian Happ -- both All-Stars this season -- have been on the Cubs' trading block for most of the summer.
Happ enters Tuesday with a team-high 100 hits, 25 doubles (career-high) and 156 total bases, while also playing in a team-most 99 games.
