Over 23 games with Boston, Iglesias batted a whopping .356.

He posted an on-base percentage of .406, slugging percentage of .508, and OPS+ of 142.

At one point, he managed a 12-game hitting streak.

During the streak, he batted .405 with a 1.125 OPS and six extra-base-hits.

He caught fire and never cooled off, and that was exactly what the Red Sox needed.

Although He Can’t Compete In The Postseason, Iglesias Deserves A Ring

It’s a shame that Iglesias can’t compete in the 2021 playoffs, but he’ll surely be cheering on the Red Sox from home.

If Boston wins it all, Iglesias will get a well-deserved World Series ring.

Truthfully, he should already have one.

He began the 2013 season as a member of the Red Sox organization, but he was traded to the Detroit Tigers at the trade deadline that year.

Boston, of course, won the World Series that season, and Iglesias’ Tigers fell short.

He surely wishes he was never dealt from the Red Sox that year, but he has a shot at getting a ring this time around.
