Padres' Jurickson Profar calls Giants fans 'worst in the league' for throwing balls, bottle

San Diego Padres left fielder Jurickson Profar was more than a little frustrated with San Francisco Giants fans Friday night. After several objects were thrown at the Padres left fielder, Profar said Giants fans are "the worst."

"You can talk whatever you want, you paid to watch the game, you can talk," Profar said, via NBC Sports. "But these guys are the worst in the league. They can talk but as soon as you try to throw stuff, that's different."

In the third inning, the game was briefly delayed after a pair of baseballs were thrown from the stands at Profar.

Profar, 29, explained after the game that he tried to toss a warm-up ball to a Padres fan, but a Giants fan caught it and threw it back. After he tossed the ball back into the crowd, two balls were thrown his direction.

"I'm not watching," Profar said. "They can hit me in the back of the head. You can get a concussion or something."

A few innings later, Profar again got into it with Giants fans after a beer bottle was thrown on to the field.

Profar got the last laugh with an RBI single in the 10th inning of the Padres' 8-7 win. He finished with three hits in five at bats on the night.
