Padres' Ian Kinsler ejected from game he’s not playing in
Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

San Diego Padres veteran infielder Ian Kinsler has been known to be passionate when on the diamond. It’s what has led to a borderline Hall of Fame worthy career.

This was taken to a whole new level during Wednesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers and pitcher Kenta Maeda. Kinsler was ejected from the game for arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire Scott Barry.

In and of itself, that’s not news. Instead, Kinsler was not playing in the game. He was ejected from the Padres’ dugout.

In Kinsler’s defense, it has been a frustrating night for the Friars. In addition to Maeda dominating (10 strikeouts through five innings), Barry has apparently been pretty terrible behind home plate.

Even then, this is not something Kinsler is going to be putting in his application for Cooperstown.
