New Seattle Mariners OF Has Awesome Post on "X" After Getting Traded Back to Team
USA TODAY Sports

After getting traded back to the Seattle Mariners this week, outfielder Mitch Haniger had a great reaction on "X" that indicates how happy he is to be back.

The Mariners posted a graphic welcoming Haniger back to town and Haniger quoted it with this:

Can’t wait to be back in the PNW! Excited to play at T-Mobile again in front of all you @Mariners fans!

It's understandable why Haniger would be excited to get back, given that he's had the best success of his career in a Mariners uniform.

After debuting with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Haniger was traded to Seattle before the 2017 season and immediately made his mark. The 33-year-old hit .263 over five seasons in Seattle with 107 homers and 306 RBI. He hit a career-high 39 homers in 2021 and also had 26 in All-Star 2018 season.

Unfortunately, injuries have really taken their toll on Haniger, so how he'll do a second-time around is a major unknown. He missed nearly 100 games in the 2019 season and then missed all of the 2020 season. After that great effort in 2021, he played just 57 games in 2022 and then played only 61 games in 2023 with the San Francisco Giants.

He's undoubtedly a fan favorite in Seattle so people are happy to have him back, but here's to hoping that he can be the best version of himself.

Seattle went 88-74 this past season and missed the playoffs by one game. They last made the playoffs in 2022, Haniger's last year in Seattle.
