Indians' Josh Naylor carted off against Twins after brutal collision with teammate

A scary scene unfolded Sunday at Target Field in Minnesota.

Cleveland Indians outfielder Josh Naylor collided with teammate Ernie Clement during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins and was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury.

Naylor and Clement ran into each other while attempting to field a blooper from Jorge Polanco in the fourth inning. The ball fell, and Naylor was sent flying.

It's unclear when or if Naylor will return to Cleveland's lineup this season as the extent of the injury is unknown.

The 24-year-old entered Sunday's game slashing .255/.304/.403 with seven home runs and 21 RBI in 68 games. This is his first full season with the Indians after coming over in a trade from the San Diego Padres in 2020.
