A few years ago, former Baltimore Orioles outfielder Luke Scott caused a stir when he questioned, among other things, the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

Turns out, baseball’s got another birther in the bunch.

Prior to the 2015 season, Anthony Swarzak left the Minnesota Twins to sign a deal with Cleveland. After pitching just 13 innings for the Tribe…the 29-year-old righty packed his bags and took his game to Korea to play for the KBO Doosan Bears.

Sunday, he channeled his inner Scott, a fellow KBOer, and sounded off on Obama and his support for one Donald Trump.

Because the internet…Swarzak’s support of the Trumpster got the attention of former Twins outfielder Jacque Jones.

Naturally, this only prompter Swarzak to respond.

And then…this.

As one would expect, the Twitter equivalent of baseball’s “boo birds” came out in droves calling out Swarzak and causing his to back pedal a bit. Plus, haven’t we already solved the “Obama doesn’t have a birth certificate” mystery?

Swarzak would take one parting shot though.
