Former Auburn star named top ten second baseman in the MLB

The Auburn Tigers have a handful of former players currently on MLB rosters. 

The SEC as a whole has been incredible at putting former talent into the MLB. This is why it is by far the best conference in college baseball. When watching an SEC baseball game at all times, there are a few future MLB players on the field. The Auburn Tigers have been extremely successful over the past few seasons, with two trips to Omaha for the College World Series. The Tiger's success has turned into a handful of alumni being selected in the draft and some making the show. 

One former Auburn Tiger who made the show during the last MLB season was former Auburn infielder Edouard Julien. He is the current second baseman for the Minnesota Twins and was just ranked the eighth-best second baseman in the MLB by the MLB Network. During the 2023 season, Julien had a .263 batting average to go with 16 bombs and 37 RBIs. The left-handed hitting second baseman had a slugging percentage of .459 and a WAR of 2.6. His numbers were incredible during his rookie campaign, and you can expect them to increase this year for the Twins. Julien's plate discipline and ability to get on base via the free pass is what makes him a young star. 

An article written by Cody Christie of Twins Daily had this to say about Julien, "Julien is a different style of hitter than the Twins have had in quite some time. He was a late-round steal in the draft and is quickly developing into the Canadian God of Walks. Why do the Twins like him? He gets on base, which could make for an exciting 2024 season." 

You can expect a big sophomore season in the show from Julein as he looks to lead the Twins back to the playoffs.
