Did a Dodgers Minor Leaguer Shade the Padres on Social Media?
USA TODAY Sports

Former San Diego Padres pitcher Nabil Crismatt may have thrown some shade toward the Padres in his latest social media post. Crimatt, who is now with the rival Los Angeles Dodgers, made a post with the caption, "Nice to be in blue now."

You can see the post below.

Now, this may not be shade toward the Padres, but it's a little suspicious. Crismatt signed a minor-league deal with Los Angeles in early December after spending the 2023 season between teams.

Crismatt was with the Padres from 2021-2023. He only made seven appearances last season for San Diego, posting an ERA of 9.82 in 11 innings.

He landed with the Arizona Diamondbacks, making one appearance for them. Crismatt threw two scoreless innings for Arizona, but injuries derailed his season.

The veteran pitcher was very effective in 2022 for the Padres out of the bullpen. He posted an ERA of 2.94 in 67.1 innings of work.

Now, with Los Angeles, Crismatt will look to impress the front office to be given any chance at the big league level. It's unknown why he would shade the Padres in his post, but maybe he felt slighted after being designated for assignment last season.

Whatever the case may be, the rivalry between these two teams is alive and well. Both open their season against each other in the Seoul Series on March 20 and 21.
