Angels' Injured Infielder Has No Timetable for Return

Los Angeles Angels infielder Michael Stefanic took live batting practice and participated in a workout on Wednesday.

However, that doesn't mean he'll be back on the diamond any time soon. According to Angels beat writer for MLB.com, Rhett Bollinger, Stefanic has no timetable to return to the diamond from his quad injury.

It seems like Stefanic has been making progress in his recovery from his left quad strain, but isn't yet there to get into a game.

He has only played in one game this spring, which happened to be the first game of spring against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He only recorded a walk.

Although there isn't a date attached to Stefanic's return, he remains in the mix to earn a bench role on the Angels' active roster to begin the season. However, he'll need to get healthy and into spring training action to make that possible.

Stefanic has been with the Halos his entire career. He's a .244 career batter with zero home runs, six RBIs, 30 hits and 10 runs in 50 games and 123 at-bats.

In Triple-A last year, Stefanic slashed .365/.463/.467 with five home runs and 62 RBIs in 99 games.
