Aaron Judge made wild Giants prediction when he was a high school senior

When AL MVP Aaron Judge was a senior in high school, he predicted that he would be playing for the San Francisco Giants 10 years later.

While that scenario hasn't come to fruition yet, and the math would be slightly off, there remains a decent chance that Judge is playing for the Giants in 2023. Judge and Bracksieck married in December 2021, by the way, so one of the two predictions has already come true.

On Tuesday afternoon, insider Jon Heyman reported that San Francisco's latest offer to the AL home run king was "believed to be" in the $360 million "neighborhood." However, Heyman adds, the "assumption/belief among rivals is that the Yankees remain favorites."

It was reported on Monday that Judge may already have a nine-year offer from a team.

The look back to 2010 comes from senior sports correspondent Sean Gregory's story on Judge, who was named TIME's 2022 Athlete of the Year.

"Remaining with the Yankees could allow him to join the pantheon of icons -- (Derek) Jeter, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Mariano Rivera -- who wore only pinstripes during Hall of Fame careers," Gregory wrote. "Another franchise, like the well-moneyed Los Angeles Dodgers, could swoop in with an offer that would be hard to refuse. Coming home to the Bay Area to play for his childhood team, the San Francisco Giants, also holds clear appeal."

In November, Giants All-Star Joc Pederson made his recruiting pitch to Judge with an Instagram post. It was reported later that day that the organization was trying to connect the four-time All-Star with Golden State Warriors icon Stephen Curry as a part of their recruitment.

Most recently, Tom Brady jokingly asked Judge if he wanted to play tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on "Monday Night Football" in Week 13 against the New Orleans Saints. Although he played football in high school (and was recruited as a tight end by some big-time Division I programs), Judge chose to play on the diamond.
