Watch: LIV Golf pro hits fellow competitor with errant tee shot at PGA Championship

LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau accidentally hit PGA Tour golfer Kenny Pigman with an errant tee shot at the PGA Championship on Thursday.

According to a TMZ Sports report, DeChambeau's drive from the 17th hole hit Pigman as the latter was standing in the 18th tee box. Per the report, the two golfers were less than 200 yards away from each other.

DeChambeau joined LIV Golf in June 2022, one year after winning the U.S. Open. He finished fourth at the 2020 PGA Championship and tied for eighth at last year's Open Championship.

Prior to joining the Saudi-funded LIV Golf series, DeChambeau registered eight wins on the PGA Tour, with his most recent coming at the 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Through 17 holes on Thursday, the 29-year-old was at the top of the PGA Championship leaderboard at four under par. Pigman finished his first round with an 11-over 81, putting him in a tie for last place.
